I am still in shock, that this could happen. Does Boyne not realize what Hyak is? I myself have introduced LITERALLY dozens of families to skiing through Hyak. These are the same families who buy seasons passes now (because of Hyak) who have kids who are instructors and employees. Although they use the entire area, they alway come back to Hyak because it is their favorite. It is the GEM of the mountain. Two of these families have even bought condos at Alpental. Imagine how many of my friends have introduced others to the Summit. I am only one person and cannot begin to calculate the revenue I have created because of Hyak. Without Hyak being open, I will no longer be able to invite friends to our condo. and introduce them to skiing... The numbers will be enormous for the future for the Summit.
