Summit response

Here the response I got from the communicatins manager at the Summit.

Unfortunately, no decision has been made either way regarding replacing the lift at Summit East this Summer. Trust me, we at The Summit want the new lift very badly and are committed whole-heartedly to the project. However, there are some elements beyond our control, particularly funding. The company that holds the purse strings ultimately is the decision-maker, and with the grim economy it's honestly not looking great for us this summer (even though at the local level we had a great season).

When a decision is made either way, we will announce it publicly. Again, we are definitely advocating installing it this summer, but the financial aspects are beyond our control. If we are turned down, we will hopefully be receiving a commitment that it's a go for summer of 2010.

Thanks for your loyalty and I hope to see you on the slopes of Hyak next season (it's my personal favorite too).

Sounds like we need to let the people at Boyne know how we feel about getting HYAK BACK!
