Ocean-to-Ocean in a Model T

The event commemorates the 1909 New York to Seattle race by early automobile enthusiasts. Here's the schedule of public events.
"Ocean-to-Ocean" Model Ts will arrive at Snoqualmie Pass on July 9th, 2009. 4Culture is sponsoring a welcome event at the Summit Lodge /Howard Johnson's beginning at 6:00 pm, with music by Cornucopia Concert Band and remarks by elected officials and rally participants. The lodge will provide a beer garden and offer a gourment hotdog picnic (includes sides, dessert and beverage) for $17.95 per person from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. At dusk, the Ellensburg Film Festival will show the 1965 movie The Great Race outdoors.
Model Ts will leave Snoqualmie Pass on July 10th and drive down historic backroads to Issaquah. They will stop at Meadowbrook Farm in Snoqualmie for a Salmon Bake lunch, catered by the Snoqualmie Nation Canoe Family, from noon to 2 p.m. Lunch will be offered to the public at $10 per plate. Tickets are on sale now at the North Bend City Hall and businesses throughout Snoqualmie and North Bend (cash only). Model Ts will remain in Issaquah on July 11th. The Issaquah Historical Society will host an exhibit on the A-Y-P in the Issaquah Depot Museum. The Depot parking lot will be roped-off for the Model Ts to use (detailing/tune-ups) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The public is encouraged to come and view the cars.
Model Ts will leave Issaquah early the morning of July 12th and drive via Renton to the UW Campus in Seattle. Mayor Greg Nickels and UW President Mark Emmert will host a welcome event beginning at 11 a.m. at Drumheller Fountain on campus. Costumed revelers in period garb will add to the festivities, as well as a display of electric cars in Red Square.
