If the ski area looses as much cash this year as stated, it would be more of an incentive to repair the area for next year. If they did not suffer any $$$ loss because the area were closed then they would have more incentive NOT to fix it. Last year I rode maybe 6 or 7 times with my season pass since Alpental is too crowded and Silver Fir is too boring. I'd guess 4 of 7 uses of the pass was at Alpental after March when the crowds were less...
