Hi Geoff, the one thing I told our guests today (and also the other day) is to look at the roof--if it has a ton of snow on it, keep away--one big bunch can injure you serverely (actually there have been reports in the Kittitas County News Tribune over the years of farmers and owners being killed by snow coming off barn roofs.) Luckily ours had all slid off so we could rebuild the sledding run beside the house.
