Thanks Steve. I understand where you are coming from and I don't take offence. To be more clear, I don't take offence to you or the HPOA board President or other board members who I think are trying to do the best job they can. Who I do take offence to is the Commissioner who made the comment which I hope I got straight. I was shocked when I heard that one of our Commissioners, who is elected by us, to work for us, would say such a thing at a local event apparently not caring who heard him. I do not want to start baseless rumors and that is why I gave the name of the person who I had been told actually heard it. I think that it is unacceptable for an elected official to try and trade off a community of taxpaying residents even if he thought it was funny. I figured he had forgotten himself for a moment until I hear that now the Commissioners want to stop plowing Hyak. This leads me to believe that this is deeper than just a joke and that the Commissioners actually do think that and want to get rid of us in some way. It seems like we always have to fight for the least little bit of convienience that people in other unincorporated communities get with no questions asked just because we live in the mountains. I will see you all on Monday.
