      Historical alpine closing days since I've been keeping records:

      1999 / Feb 28
      2000 / April 1 (ski down
      2001 / April 2 (ski down)
      2002 / March 31 (ski down)
      2003 / March 29 (ski down)
      2004 / March 20 (ski down)
      2005 / Didn't open, no snow
      2006 / April 2
      2007 / March 18
      2008 / April 6
      2009 / Jan 7 (landslide)
      2010 / no operation
      2011 / April 10
      2012 / April 1 (scheduled end date)

      The years of the "ski down", the area shut down 2-3 weeks prior to the event, then re-opened for the special day.
