Alpental usually always runs til the end of April. Last year they went into May so they could say they ran for 6 months straight (Nov-May).
Normally they shut down the lifts at Hyak at the end of March. They used to shut down Central, West then Alpental but last year they shut down West first, then Central then Alpental and spaced 1-2 weeks apart per shutdown. It mostly depends on crowds because the people tend to drop off pretty quickly once it starts to get warm (mid-late March) no matter how much snow there is.

We were at Crystal all weekend (as we have been all season) and the crowds are gone now. Friday was epic, Saturday started with rain, but ended with Sun. Sunday was high, broken overcast all day. It was really nice... and not too many people.
With the high prices, some people are waiting (and hoping) for that elusive "perfect day." Me? I'm so glad to be in the mountains, and NOT at work! And if you show-up enough, you find conditions are often much better than you planned.
