They are flying choppers at White Pass next week according to their website getting the foundations ready. I'm looking forward to checking out the new terrain when the lifts get installed.

It's still hard to believe they won't run them for another year. Perhaps they purchased "half" the lifts: the towers, foundations and engineering and delayed buying the power packs, cables and chairs until they were sure the new area would be ready to take them. I suppose you probably could get nearly the same price, but just have it all come at 2 different times and paid with 2 checks. To let 2 complete, brand new lifts for a season is beyond what I can imagine.

2 year plan

All along they had a 2-year install plan. I'm guessing it has something to do with the 'roadless' factor that they can't use any vehicles (just a guess). It appears they are on schedule as they had planned. It has been a 25 year battle with the enviro wacko's so 2 years for installation seems like nothing. I'm just glad they succeeded and didn't give up.
