Pass is closed due to accidents. One was right at the 52 WB near the onramp. They just let traffic go maybe 10 minutes ago but only to release the vehicles trapped at the Summit area.

I have not heard when they might reopen. I would suspect if you're at the Pass and want to head West right now they may let you, but be careful...I can't guarantee they'll allow it.

...and I don't really know why. They're not talking about it on the radio (that I can hear), it stopped snowing hard quite awhile ago according to the radar. Maybe the big pileup I heard about near the lake was a fatality?? I heard them say at one point it was estimated to be 20 vehicles involved. This was roughly 6pm.
