SNOQUALMIE PASS Authorities completely closed Snoqualmie Pass summit on Interstate 90 for four hours Sunday night due to a 40-car pileup that injured three.

Bad weather is blamed for the pileup that was first reported about 6:10 p.m. Sunday near summit, according to a news release issued by the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers closed both directions for several hours and reopened the highway at 11 p.m. Three people were taken to hospitals for minor injuries, the release said.

The possiblity of charging any of the drivers is still under investigation, the release said
