I finally took some pics of my Early Tiger ready for Kursk. You might not be able to see it but I base coated it in Panzer Grey, and misted over with Dunkelgelb to simulate the crew painting over their Grey Tiger. It's not heavily weathered but, that's the way I wanted it, to show a battle ready, not hardened tiger. This is AFV club's 1/48th Early Tiger. Painted in 505th colours and markings. The headlights are removed for a reason. I still have to add the periscopes (scratch build them) to the radio operator and driver's hatch, the jack still needes to be added, but I just didn't feel like filling in the ejector pin marks as of yet... Over all this is a great kit with nice cast texture on the turret and hull sides. The headlight wiring is molded in place, but not in the Tamiya fasion. Tools were separate, and fit was incredible great! It came with the PE grilles... The only thing I will change are the tracks, which will be swapped out for Fruils once I catch up on my bills... anyway, enough chat...
