I have a question from Garfield....who can't access his own site right now....Owwww!!! Anyways, he wanted to know if anyone else has had problems. If you are...you probably can't read this....and therefore can't answer it. But HEY, i'm a teamplayer kinda guy....and Garfield asked...and so am I.... Hmmm, good time to say something bad about him....he can't read it!!!
Anyways, silliness aside....anyone have ANY problems getting to the site...or navigating it?? please list them here for Garfield to read.....
TIA, Garfield...from somewhere in the Etherworld.....and his faithful sidekick Dave.....

I haven't had any problems getting to the main Track48 site, nor to this forum.

Having said that, I have had problems with other sites in the past, but it was caused by the DNS server within the network server I had running my home network. There were some things that I was not totally up to speed with in running Windows NT (including the DNS server), but the problems have been solved by using a simpler solution; i.e., a broadbrand router.

it works OK. for me

All the links are functioning, but certain pages do look different! Has Garfield been tweeking the site again?
I am using the Mozilla Firefox browser which works fine, the problem may be down to your Web browser. So to all those who are having problems with T48 , which browser are you using?

Safari on my iMac works fine...

October 1 2007, 5:08 PM

Hi Morris;

Earlier on when we were having trouble in Garfield-Land, it showed up on my
iMac browsing with SAFARI. That got fixed, and this time around everything seems
to look just fine using my SAFARI browser.

Still having problems

October 2 2007, 10:13 AM

Problem 1) Internet connection with Bell-Sympatico kept dropping then quit completly. After a dozen phone calls directed to India, lots of yelling and a week's time, connection is re-established.
Problem 2) I couln't get on to Track 48. om any server. An email mysteriously arrived from Bell walking me through the new internet connection. Voila...it works and I can now get on to the site. I now have Sympatico HSE what ever that means.
Problem 3) The server now won't recogize my user name/password when I try to do an update using FrontPage. (The server tech people are MIA) I have a feeling this last problem is related to the first two. I will have the graphics/web designer here at work look into it.

Where are you located Dave?

October 2 2007, 8:10 PM

I can pass the info onto the tech guys. I am now able to get on the site using Internet Explorer. I had to re-configure my connection and now have Sympatico HSE. I wonder if this has effected other users...?

I am at home now and it is working fine. But I did not do anything. Still a good thing. Have to have my Track 48 fix everyday.
