Me to..........

November 7 2007, 3:41 PM

I am there Saturday and Sunday with my club, Avro lancs model club as we have a stand in hall 1. I will be trying very, very hard not to spend obscene amounts of money on more loft insulation as it will only infuriate the wife!

Don`t worry Tim, i have printed off your picture and i will burn it into my memory and hopefully i will not be too hung over on Sunday to recognise you!
See you there.

P.S. Do my eyes deceive me or does that Pannier on the Yam looks large enough to fit the prototype Crab in (hint, hint)

FWIW HobbyLink Japan is also supposed to be there, so I suspect they'll have some of the Greyhounds and Greifs if you don't already have them in the U.K.

I'll be there on sunday as well. Travelling with a friend as my motorbike is in for repair again

Should be easy enough to spot Tim as there can't be many people with Crab bits stuck to their elbows

For Those Interested

November 9 2007, 10:35 AM

This may be a little late, but here is the Track48 Badge I created for the IPMS Nats for those who may want to print one out for this meet.

Didn't make it after all...

November 12 2007, 8:58 AM

Sorry guys, work reared its ugly head (CNC machine broke a tool mid-cut, and guess who was the only mug (sorry, highly skilled and trusted operative...) around to go in and sort it out. Didn't finish until gone mid-day on Sunday, so decided 5 hours on the bike wouldn't be worth 1 hour at the show. Bet you lot will now prove I was wrong....

Anyway, managed to do a bit more on the Crab, so all was not entirely lost!

Just got back home after a great weekend away in Sunny (and misrable) Telford one of the best show in a while, competition a bit of a dissapointment as far as Quaterscale armour goes but I got a Greyhound and lots of bits I've been after!

SMW

November 14 2007, 1:59 PM

Came back with a Hetzer (for £10), a Hauler conversion for the Steyer (to a cargo bed),Squad 48 Desert tank crew, Dartmoor British tank commander & crewman, various braille kits, various books, some resin that a German guy sold me in broken English and lead me to believe was mould making RTV!( something got lost in the translation i suppose) and a very large hole in my wallet.
Quite a good selection on offer from the traders for the quarter scale modeller, more than last year i thought. Spotted some Hobbyboss Shermans for £8.00 but did not take the bait. saw some very silly prices for Bandai kits on the traders stalls and in the kitswap.
The comps where disappointing in general i thought. But i put that down to the complicated rules that the IPMS(UK) now use that puts all but the dedicated trophy hunters off entering anything.
All in all i enjoyed the weekend but i was glad to get home on Sunday evening.
