I've got a Bandai Austin K5 British truck. Is this a rare kit or something worth building up?

Bandai Austin K5 lorry.....

Rob, this is one of the most desireable and expensive Bandai kits on eBay. They typically will go for over $50, often up to $65-70. It's a pretty good kit, could use some PE detailing (don't hold your breath on that), but it appears, from a very primitive comparison to a few photos from Beltring, that it is basically accurate, and with that you can always improve it. In 1/48, there is no other model of a British pattern truck available except for the AA resin kits, for another $15-20 over the usual eBay prices for the K5. If I were you and I built British stuff, i'd build it, but if you sell it, you'll be able to buy 2-3 average price Tamiya kits.... That said, I want to build Brit stuff, so I have five Bandai K5 lorry kits and one K5 6 pdr portee from Wespe.

Thanks for the info

I'm not a British armor fan although I like the N.African campaign. Sounds like this is eBay fodder and I can use the funds to purchase some of the newer 1/48 scale kits.
Thanks again.

Hi Robin! If you wanted to offload that truck and can take a money-order in US funds, drop me a line at k.kolenovsky@misterprint.com and I'll make it worth your while!

Ken
