Can someone explain to me how the buzz number system used in the 6th Armored Division worked? For example what does the 55 on a tank from Company B 68th Tank Battalion signify. I've a feeling that I read something about it in an old Tanks Illustrated, but my copy is inaccessible for the next couple of weeks.
