Steve Faxon quickly sent me some replacement parts. I cut the fenders (not as impossible as my last cutting). Then, I shaved the inner hull where the fenders were just slightly lower. Now I'm still making small adjustments to remove the gap in the front. I'm a lttle too afraid to unsuperglue the front fenders for fear of damaging them, but I would like to reposition them a little higher. The fenders will need to be shaved narrower to match the superstructure. It won't be the best model on the block, but it's still going to serve my purposes.
From the pics it appears that the transmission roof section is still sloped downwards to the front when it should be completely horizontal as in all Pz lV's, and the superstructure glacis needs to have an extendend bit at the bottom between the trackguards which meets the transmission roof.
If you go to MISSING LYNX and look at the pictures of a Jagdpanzer IV L/70 done by Sam Dwyer you get some great shots of the front of this vehicle. certainly the fighting compartment mate with the transmission.
Jentz in PanzerTracts shows this as a 20mm thick plate set at 86 degrees, so there is a slight (4 degree) downslope, which is about what Steve has on his superstructure.
I was doing a little more work on it today. I think the side skirts will be the most trouble. Miliput will extend the fenders to the sloped front. I think I might be able to add a styrene strip to blend the fenders across the sides. That finished IV link looks really great.
I think the styrene strips on the side blended well

I used the .010 styrene along the fender sides and I like it. I'm getting my track sag on now. I use coins to push the track down and superglue to stick it. The build should go fast now I'm past the hump. Greg
