Before finishing the superb Kengi A13, I thought I would have a little play with Photoshop and some backgrounds I downloaded and came up with this! Just a bit of fun but I wanted to share!!

Much More Fun than one more Tiger...

February 10 2008, 1:23 PM

Hi Allan;

I finished the Kengi M3 Stuart a few weeks back, and have found Ken's unique
kits to be far more fun than just pounding out another Tiger.
Those days are gone... for me.

Nicely done so far and the P/Shop background effect is good too.

The kit is looking very sharp and I like your painting. I hope the driver is not chasing the road-runner off the cliff

Hotdiggitydawg! That is one nice model. I'm getting three Kengis next month when I'm hopefully not so broke any more.

Been away from the site for a few days and just found this great pic. My A13 is still in the bubble wrap, but at the risk of sounding dumber'n dirt, how did you manage the more accurate two-piece sand shields? That photo looks like lousy tank country, by the way...probably shed a track every hundred yards!

Track guards

February 18 2008, 1:29 PM

I found it best to fit the guards as they came then I trimed them until I was happy with the shape! not exact but tanks don't seem to me to be an exact science.
I've since started to paint the caunter camo and markings but when I had it in just sand I felt the need to try and replicate the picture that is commonly available on Google I've got Photoshop so may as well use it and with some cool backgrounds its just a bit of fun!

Thanks, Alan...

...will wing it the same way. You're probably right, since a lot of such items were cut and hammered in windscoured desert yards anyway.
