Before I get side-tracked by the decals, here is a progress pic of the Crab project test assembly. I'm fitting the tracks as I write, and there is a little tweak to do on one of the main cross members of the jib structure, but otherwise I just need to get the instructions finished and this one will be in production. The first tracks, the T62 style, are also piling up on my desk ready to pack, so they will be ready soon as well. I am sorry these have dragged on rather, but my day job has been even more intrusive than usual, so spare time has been rather rare! Once these are on sale, I'll crack on with the other track styles, and the Tulip set, and get the decals done and off to the printers.

Looks great Tim.

I will have to get me one of them!
While on the subject of tracks, any chance you could look at doing a replacement set for the Bandai/Fuman Valentine II. I have been told that the 1:35th (sorry for swearing) Model Art T70 light tank tracks are pretty damn near perfect but at £18.00 a kit it`s an expensive way to get a set of tracks.
Nigel Savage at Parabellum has been in touch with Miniart to see if they would sell just the track sprues for us poor Valentine modelers in 1/48. No idea of how that went, but those tracks would be just about perfect.

Valentine Tracks

The info on the track compatibility did originate from Nigel (via a friend). My friend has since informed me of Nigel's request to Mini Art, but he has not seen Nigel for a few weeks.
I should, fingers crossed, see Nigel at one of two shows being held in February and i will ask if he has made any progress with Mini Art.
Well, I have decided to take one for the team..... Squadron has the Maquette 1/35 T-40 Russian amphibious tank on sale for $4.99 USD, and I have ordered a few to supply tracks for my Bandai Valentines. Images from the web showed that the T-40 used the same tracks as the T-70/T-80 light tanks, and we'll see if the quality is close enough to work. I hate to trash complete kits just for the tracks but at $5.00 a shot, I couldn't afford not to..... I assume they have some in stock for any who want to follow in my wobbly footsteps..... Fingers crossed yet again....
Just what we've come to expect, Tim, lad..... You have raised the bar as usual, and we have high hopes for your kits and tracks. This is super - what is that now, four of your Sherman Vs I'll have? Of course, I may have to sell the children to pay for all the tracks I'll need.....
For goodness' sake, Tim get MOVING with that packaging, so we greedy modelers can get our clammy mits onto what looks to be some lovely product! I have a mountain of Sherman kits, with Iron Division and S.Faxon conversions, awaiting the arrival of tracks. And that Crab, I simply MUST have a Crab. And I need some of your Sherman towing shackles and PE sets, so move along lad, move along with that packaging.........
The Crab looks nice. Not sure if I am up for that one, but I hope many people take advantage of such a nice conversion.
I look forward to the track sets you are working on. I have plans for a set of British steel chevron tracks, US steel chevron tracks and maybe a set of block tracks (I am working on routering a set of my own from the Tamiya tracks, but not finished yet).
Just to let anyone know, who has not ordered the excellent M4A4 (aka Sherman V) conversion, the extra resin tracks lengths are just as nice as Tamiya Sherman tracks. I have the Legends Firefly stowage set, which has nice bedrolls and tarps, but the extra tracks included there are not nearly as nice as the ones in the M4A4 conversion by Tim.
