As promised, here are the scans for the PE instructions and the sprues.

It's password protected (my father-in-law...). The password is calender5. Note it's not spelled correctly.

Valentine PE scans....

February 16 2008, 3:14 PM

Thank you very much, Nik; these are a real help, though it appears it is a much more extensive set than I had suspected. Wish I had gone over to Hobby Maker in Bedford when they were closing. Many of the pieces can be made from scrap plastic, Evergreen shapes, or strip brass, but many other pieces had etched detail and that will be a lot harder to reproduce. Anyway, the scans are a great reference, and I have the stowage diagrams for the Valentine Mk IX, so some of the PE details are shown in those sketches as well. Drat! Modeling skills required - where's my elderberry wine?

Bruce, Do you think any of the other shops in the area might have bought up their stock at "bargain" prices?? Might they be languishing in another area shop??

Eduard

February 17 2008, 8:18 AM

Nik, et all,
I just sent an email to the owner of Eduard, asking for ANY info he can offer on whether he still has the artwork for these sets.....whether he would consider a "private" run of them.....and what 28-001, 28-004, etc. were for. I seem to remember a set for the T34-76 Bandai kit....didn't buy that one. I will post any replies I receive from Eduard. Thought you folks would like to know.

If anyone stumbles on a set of ANY of these....please let me know. I may be able to back engineer them and release them through Fotocut.....The Sherman set is VERY comprehensive...I may pull some of the parts out as an auxillary set to what Tim and others have already released. If I can get to a scanner, I will post the instruction sheets here, and let you tell me what you would like to have done. This is, after all, a member friendly site!!! Thanks! Dave

Yessssss!!!

February 17 2008, 9:24 AM

Hi Allan!! Hang onto those puppies!! Are yours in the shiny nickel steel that mine are in?? I opened my M4 set up...am going to compare the interior parts to the Hobby Boss kit...and see if any can be used with the TopGun hulls/hull bottoms/or HB parts.......
The jeep set might have a few things not offered in the Hauler sets, but probably not enough to justify doing them. The Valentine set, in total, is still the most viable.
Do you have any idea where the Hobby Bounties folks went?? And what might have happened to their inventory??

PE sets...

February 17 2008, 2:45 PM

Hi all! I have the 28001 (Jeep - in nickle) and 28002 (Sherman M4A3 - brass). Only thing I don't have with the 28001 set is the acetate dash.
