I have launched myself on a huge journey down the road of Sherman tanks. I plan to build at least 30 of them in 48th scale, covering all the major hull variants, turret variants, road wheel and transmission housing variants, etc. And as part of this journey, I thought I would order some of Archer Fine Transfer's "raised detail" decal sheets. I picked up the weld beads, and the raised casting numbers sets. I have just started applying the raised casting numbers etc. on my first kit. All I can say is WOW, these are amazing. Resin casting numbers and lettering, applied to clear decal film. You simply cut out the suitable item, dip in water, and slide onto the model. And you get instant raised detail, very readable even in the smallest sections, with magnifying glasses.
HIGHLY recommended for those interested in addition just that little bit of extra detail to your models.
