For those of you waiting in eager anticipation of the Mercedes Benz. Check out our website! And no, it is not ready for release just yet.

Hi Bob,

It's not that I don't love the fact that you're coming out with all kinds of stuff, but you are doing it at such a pace that I've been holding off on ordering anything. I want to place an order, but you keep coming out with such great stuff that I WANT, that I keep waiting so that I can place one big order and save on shipping.

So, stop it!

In any event, you can expect one big order from Japan in the not so distant future.

Isamu

Thanks for your comments Isamu. There won't be anything new from us for a few weeks. I'm holding to the March 15th release date for both of the Mercedes Truck Kits. The Radio Shelter/Cabin for Blitz conversions will follow right on their heels. As Steve and I agreed, I need to work on buildups and improve the website and advertising. As you all have seen, our Modelling Tips and Gallery pages are blank. have to work on those also!

Wow

February 27 2008, 10:48 PM

if you DO release an M-6 bomb truck, I am going to have to get cracking on modifying my small fleet of Revell-Monogram Saginaw M5s, of which I have about 4 or 5. I need some more detail photos before I can begin to get serious.

Better get a move on Matt, April release date may mean April 1rst. One of my favorite days of the year. The Master for it was half-finished a few weeks ago! Who knows how far it is now. The small Bomb Cart comes with the kit and it's done.

Right on

I'd love to see how that looks. While the Monogram examples are more toy like than anything. They scream out for improvements!

Release of the Mercedes

February 28 2008, 3:16 PM

Hi Bob (& Steve):

The Mercedes truck kit looks AWESOME! A few questions, and please forgive my ignorance as I don't know if you have answered these before: Will you include decals with the kit? Also, will you include paint scheme suggestions and maybe a little history regarding what theaters of operation it was in? Or are we on our own for figuring out what livery is proper for the Topgun Military/Iron Division Resins version of this truck. Also, when will you release your tents in 1/48? (Your braille scale ones look great, by the way.)

Re: Release of the Mercedes

Sorry Jim, no Decals. We don't have the facilities/equipment to make them. I might get with Archer one of these days about Rub-On Markings (looks more realistic and not as messy). That depends soley on sales of the thing. As I have noticed, the standard German License plates were the only distinctive markings I have seen on them. Some Panzer Grey trucks have the white borders around the fenders. History? As far as I have seen it was used everywhere, especially on the Eastern Front and served with Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht and SS units. Heck, I'm having a rough enough time doing the Instruction sheet.

Why, Oh why, did you cast the tools on the truck sides??? (I'll probably still buy one. Nice price!)

I thought it looked good that way, saves on scrounging for tools. Besides, it's easier to cast. Most all the photos I've seen of this version have the tools on them.
