OK, last post for tonight and then I'll stop spamming the boards. Just having a look around at various conversions and aftermarket stuff for 1/48 and it struck me that although the resurgence in 1/48 is due to a Japanese company and the notion that smaller Japanese living conditions makes it more attractive to that market, there are very few aftermarket producers in that part of the world. I can only think of Voyager and Lion Roar in China (I think they're both in China... or Taiwan), Squad48 in Singapore, Hasegawa and some Japanese company that did a set of panzer crewmen which I can't remember the name of. Indeed, with AFV Club dragging their heels, Skybow's left, as is HobbyBoss, there's not much else after Hasegawa who's mainly aiming at the propeller heads coming from Asia.

Outside Asia, we have Hauler in the Czech Republic, MR Models in Germany, Adalbertus in Poland, Gaso-Line in France, Toro in Spain, Tim Perry here in the UK, as is Dartmoor, and Bob with Iron Division and Steve Faxon in the US, along with other companies that do some 1/48 like Verlinden, Plus Model, Battalion Bits, Formations, Rest Models, Aber, etc., and now even Italeri.

Is 1/48 not big at all in Asia any more? I thought it was Tamiya's main market. Does the Japanese and Asian modellers buy their AM stuff from Europe and the US, or are there other AM manufacturers that we know nothing about?
