Right, I've been harping on about my Matilda to anyone unfortunate enough to be within hearing or mailing distance, so here is the finished build. There's probably only two or three bits on this that haven't been modified or replaced. And if anyone has issues with accuracy, please mail me at i.dont.c@re.com. Suggestions for improvement are welcome, however. Although I've spent so long on this I'm not going to do anything drastic.
I've done as good as I could with this, definitely the longest build I've ever done. It's (hopefully) going to get painted in a Caunter scheme with the RWR-flashes, just as a generic desert Matilda. I'm going to write a full build write-up once it's finished. It'll take a while to do...

you might want to check the seam between the upper hull and the left side armor - looks as though there is a narrow seam there. Looks very nice, and my condolences....
Wonderful to see such a nice build of this classic kit. You may have the first completed one of these I have seen and a standout job it is. I can see that you added a lot of bits all over the place, and I think that they make a fantastic improvement.
Thank you all. Going to Mr Surface it today or tomorrow if I can. Should help cover some blemishes...
Bruce: thanks for spotting it, think it's actually some cement. I'll see to it.
Should also note that there will be a rear view mirror as well, but it's too flimsy so I've left it off for now, the fitting's on the front right fender.
Limited progress so far. It's been primered and it has it's basic Light Stone colour. As I don't want to leave the masking tape on for days I'm looking for a day when I can take some time to get it all done. Mike's been very kind helping with the Caunter scheme.
