Bad news for Mercedes Fans

Ha Ha! Fooled ya. Bet you all thought this was another "Delay" posting! On the contrary, BOTH Mercedes kits are going into the molds tomorrow (Cargo and Radio Truck). I reworked some of the parts for the Cargo version and hopefully, solved the pitting problem. Fortunately, the Masters turned out better than I had hoped. The Radio Truck will sport a full interior with Cabinets, bench and Radios, optional open doors with steps, and an optional extended or "travelling position" main antenna. I'll let you know when the first buildups are posted on the website to include shots of the parts and subassemblies.

Prices?

March 25 2008, 12:09 PM

This is great news for us who have been waiting for these. On the website order form you deleted the price of the cargo truck, and never had one for the funkwagen. What will be the final price for these; and will the price be the same for each kit, or will the radio truck be higher?
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Since I've done further work on the website, each product listed has it's own full page description with photos, prices, and where applicable, release dates. Just click on the thumbnails next to the product description. Yes, the Radio Truck is more expensive as there are more parts and it is more difficult to mold and cast. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the update!

Thanks for the update, Bob. And thanks for reminding me to click the thumbnail for more detailed info. The underside chassis really looks good, even tempts me to model one tipped over from a shell blast. Jim

Hi Bob! Will you make the radio truck body a separate item so that modelers with Bandai Maultiers can fit them on their kits?

Thanks for the comment Jim, the chassis did turn out well. Good part is that it goes together easily. I've just poured the first castings of both versions and have to endure the wait until they harden up to pull them.
Yes Sir Leo, the Radio Body will be available seperately for those with leftover Bandai Blitz's and Maultiers. Matter of fact, I have a Maultier and a Blitz here. The Radio Body base, or floor, bottom is set up for the Mercedes but it is a simple matter to mount it to the Bandai Kits.

Hi guys, me again! Are you going to add the Funkwagon cabin to the ordering list? As soon as the Mercedes truck is available I would like to order one of each.

Just started building both Kits and posted a page with the In-Progress shots. I'll be adding to it each day for the next 3 days. Here's the build link:
