This is a first of the long series of Panthers that I have planned. It went with me to AMPS this April and somehow survived the trip .

It turns out that the server went down shortly after I uploaded the pictures . It's up and running now...

Cats....

May 19 2008, 10:42 AM

Sean,

Good work n your two cats here. I more like Panther than Jadg although I like Jadg as well. I consider Jadg white wash is very convincing but I still miss a wider transition between lower and upper hull. Take a look at front lower plate and you will get what I mean.

As for the Panther, I recall it from the AMPS pics and seems more elaborated to me. it seems you worked more ont he weathering and hard edge camos are always hard to make so that is one plus to me. Those tow shackles at the rear are a very nice touch too.

Just one advice, do not follow all painting guides and no fear to be more intuitive to paint accesories and so on. For instance MG and Jack would look better in one darker shade and believe your models will improve a lot with that kind of small details.

What do you think?
Lu

Hi Sean,

your Panther is looking good.
One of my next build will also be a LAH Panther.
I just orderd the Archer set for the markings.

Greetings
Christian

Nice Panther

Hi Sean , nice job on the Panther. I had a look at the web site and noticed the other 14 x 1/48th kits there

Take a look lads.

Best

Paul

Thanks guys.

Lu, you're absolutely right. I'll follow your advice the next time I build a model. Thank you!

As far as the website goes, it is made by a fairly small group of modelers in Poland (or Polish descent) that I belong to. Three of us build 1/48 armor on a fairly regular basis and some of us dabble in the scale out of curiosity . I think I'm the only one that exclusively builds 1/48 armor - others either build planes or build in other scales as well. My only escape from armor is Fine Molds Star Wars kits - I didn't build a plane in last 4 years... This is going to change, however, because TwoBobs recently released decals for Polish F-16s and I already started building one...
