My second 1/48th model,Tamiya Tiger II with eduard PE. It was finished, but I did not like the first hard-edged camo paint job,so it sat unfinished for a year, ant hen I got an inspiration to finish it,but I went for a fun project.Stripped the paint and went for a late war finish.Base dark green, red primer, misssmatched parts...And a octopus finish.
A little scratchbuilding in the interior of the turret, but, sorry,no usefull pics.

on my next build,I will try to go with independent tracks,I don`t like those link-and-lenght ones from tamiya, lots of sink holes, and no life...

I like it. It has aesthetic appeal.

It has something very neat about the finish I have a hard time achieving. I disagreee about the Tamiya tracks. I think they are the absolute best thing about this whole series because although the detail is simplified they are not overscale in overall shape and thickness.

I have seen many supposedly "hotter" after-market tracks that are much more detailed but still look just a sliver "heavy". Tamiya tracks almost never do, with perhaps the slight exception of the Panzer IV.

I have seen many 1/35th Tiger 2s and Jagdtiger with fruilmodel tracks and they all look a tad heavy, though in 1/48th the same company seem to have done better, but still no real improvement over Tamiya if there is the slightest coat of mud...On the 1/48th King Tiger they do look poor on the sprues but better once in place around the drivetrain. As spare tracks I do agree they look terrible and should be replaced, but that is a slightly different issue...

Gaston.

Looks Great Matija

Your late war paint scheme makes for a very dramatic looking tank – great way to break out of the three color doldrums

Welcome to Track48,

Konrad
