After a long hiatus on the bench struggling with paint and markings and figures I finally brought Tim's Fighting 48th M4A4 to the front rank and finished it over the holiday weekend - thought I would fool around with some effects photos and this is what I came up with this morning. Hope you like the image - a more complete (and better focused) look will follow.
I hate to even mention this, but I thought you just might like to "get it right".
I have the original 8x10 glossy of ADJUNCT and the number definitely reads...
T-147294... rather than ... 293 as you show it. The hyphen appears as well.
All the best

Glad you all liked the faux reality shot - here is something in better focus
I am working on a construction feature on this project, and I must say that Tim's Fighting 48th conversion is about the easiest resin kit I have ever worked with - he is simply a genius there. And those British pattern tracks – simply wonderful. Definitely will build more Fighting48th – that Crab is just too tempting.

is that a gas warning patch? As trigger-happy as most flyboys are, I'm surprised they didn't get mistaken for a low-flying (and utterly lost) Japanese aircraft.

Superb Model Konrad!

Doh! My cut and paste didn't work! The other part of my post should have read:
Fantastic job Konrad! That is one beaut of a model! I have the same Fighting48th kit as well and hope I can do half as good as you did. Question: those thin wavy lines...how did you paint them? Were they hand-painted or sprayed?
Now that I look at it with your eyes I can see the blue outer ring of the RAF roundel...means they'll only get bombed and strafed by the US Army Air Corps.
It is always very gratifying to receive the praise of such a distinguished group of modelers – thanks again to all for the support. To answer a couple of questions:
Ken, both the brown camouflage pattern and the cream outlines were entirely hand painted in acrylics (Tamiya for the brown and Vallejo for the cream) over an airbrushed OD basecoat, as I felt it would be impossible to mask this pattern in any reasonable amount of time (or get the look I was hoping for with my old Paasche H airbrush). Most of the weathering was also done with a brush - thanks to Lu Rodriguez for urging me on there.
That is some very interesting footage - albeit a bit sobering as a reminder of the cost paid for freedom by the Canadian soldiers who fought with these weapons. I still plan to place Adjunct on a small base reminicent of the key reference photo, and seeing all the infantry in this footage I may add some for intrest.
