I started the Tamiya Pz III Ausf N I will be marking it in the DAK markings I did some internet searches for this variant

[IMG][/IMG]

I see some stowage boxes on the front fender of the hull MG side I don't know of any AM boxes for that type The sand bags I can scratch build no problem Plus, was there any other kind of stowage on these DAK N's?

Thanks in advance

Chad

I thought those boxes were included? Parts E8 and E9?

Stowage wise I think you can pretty much improvise anything you want. Some had racks like the Ausf L, others just metal brackets. There's even a photo of a Pz III with a suitcase on the front fender.

If anyone's been inside the Pz III N in Bovington they'll understand why the crew is all hanging out of the hatches. There's no space inside! The commander is standing on a little folding stool which can't have been a very comfortable position.

The boxes E8 and E9 come with the kit The boxes I was talking about are the two side boxes that are on the right(MG) side

Bruce

My bad :p I guess the 501st wasn't officially part of the DAK?

Aren't they the same boxes just in a different place?

Doubt They Are DAK...

July 10 2008, 11:38 AM

Hi Chad...

I'm afraid that these are not likely DAK panzers and appear to be part of
the independent s.Pz.Abt.501 Tiger force supporting 10th Panzer Division
in Tunisia.
No DAK markings here ... sorry.
