This is my near completed GAZ67B, All that is left is to add several weapons and gear to the backseat, also the dog will be changed out to a German Sheperd. I added a tarp cover with straps, hood hooks and handle, and starter bracket to the front bumper.

The dog is a little silly, but the jeep looks great! Nice work,
Greg

Brett; great looking 'GAZ' and fabulous Kv by the way. I'm curious about what you used to paint the Gaz; I love that color! Chris Schwach

Painting

July 22 2008, 7:19 AM

I brush paint all my models using Tamiya Acrylics. Health reasons deter me from using an airbrush. On WW2 Russian vehicles I use Japanese Green XF-13. I give it a base coat that I let dry for three days to fully cure. Then I apply a pin wash with oils. After that I use a solution of rubbing alcohol mixed with Andrea flat black/flat brown mix as a wash. The wash is gently applied so not to dissolve the base coat. This actually eats into the acrylic paint and flattens the finish to appear airbrushed, it also produces a variety of shades.

Thanks for comments.

Brett
