Here I can give you informations about our first online contest.

1. Model-building-contest of the Modellbaurunde

We invites to our first building-contest, this is enforced only online.

Starts at 1st August 2008

Ends at 15th November 2008

Requirements:


Admitted are all modells of tracked vehicles of world-war-2 in scale 1:48. The model should be presented on a neutral base, without figures or any terrain. Using of photo-etched-parts or other preparation- or modify-kits is allowed.
Participation-conditions:
Minimum 2 pictures of shell
Minimum 6 pictures of finished model (from the front, from the back, left, right and from above, as well as minimum one in detail)
The pictures should not be smaller than 800x600 Pixel; greater, unedited pictures in high resolution will be advantageous. We will help you - if necessary - with tips by E-Mail to become the best qualitiy, to give the same qualifications for all participants.
pictures as JPEG-Files
pictures should have sharp quality, bad pictures will reduce your chances
the models should stand on neutral ground
it is not allowed to particapate with a model, that was presented before in any event, also the modell shoukld build within the contest-runtime, to bring same conditions for all participants..
please give your full name and correct address; because it is impossible to send the price or the certificate otherwise. Contributions without full and correct datas of the modeller are not valid and we will NOT considered.

For the criterions of assessment; we have thought the best will be to do judge in step from 0 to 100 in two sectors:


Sector A for building:
general impression of building the model,
fineness of working.

Sector B for further:
Painting
Oldering
weathering, use-marks, wear and tear
general impression of finished model.


So we have some top prices for the first three and a surprise for all others.

Hi

I try to enter this competition. My three Shermans are nearly completed. So now is a good time to start a new projekt . The timeframe is also long enough for building a nice modell.

What do you mean by "two pictures of shell"? Do you mean pictures taken during the build, or pictures of the model before the application of AM parts?

I think Andreas means unpainted. He clarified this on the Missing /Lynx 1/48th discussion group where he announced the competition.

If you want you can make more pictures about your model but this 2 we need for the value.
