Crusader III 1/48. Painted

Hello Gents,

This one built straight from the box. I went for a heavily weathered finish although I would have prefered a more balanced, subtle finish. Not the best photos, I hope these photos will do for now. Apart from the stowage looking stiff, I think I might make a base for it.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for looking
Julian

I agre the weathering looks great & awesome. The camo paint seems a little too worn for my taste but it looks good for your intentions. The road wheels and tracks have really nice effects too. Congrats, I think it's your best so far

Very nice rendition of the Tamiya Crusader. Even if the worn paint is a little 'over-worn' it achieves a good effect in this scale. It's a very appealing finish, one that I would be proud to copy.

I like it a lot – the worn paint effect is very eye-catching. It looks done to me, but since you are asking for comments, a couple finishing touches you might consider would be a subtile deepening some of the panel lines and other recesses with a dark pin-wash, particularly around opening panels, and spraying a tiny amount of ‘dust’ over the stowage to blend it in. Thanks for sharing your project with us – I think it’s the first Mk. III Crusader we have seen and it is super one
