Garfield was going to make.....

new tracks for the Bandai Elefant, but I never saw a notice they had in fact been done, so I didn't get any. Needed four sets, too..... I have drawings of this I did for Matchbox decades ago, but I can also get you better drawings. I have tons of stuff for the M2/M3 HTs, but not really good plans with details. What I have will get the job done, but I don't think Tomioka ever did plans for the M2/M3 halftracks. God help you on the suspension - it's a BEAR..... The photos will tell all. Stay in touch on this....

Elefant tracks

October 7 2008, 8:54 AM

Bruce, I just obtained a set of the tracks from "Track-48", they are available, but you have to request them from Meeta. The tracks are not listed in the catalog for some unknown reason, as I believe that others are looking for the tracks. Bruce also as a sideline off topic, I just picked up a Peddinghouse decal set for Shermans, and most of the decal set is armor from the Sherman in Action that you wrote. I don't know if you are aware of it. Cheers, Alan Vandam

The Elephant tracks are no longer available because...

October 7 2008, 9:24 AM

...I don't have time to cast. The masters are fine and I have two sets of molds but alas, there they sit. If any of the a.m guys out there are interested in obtaining the masters and molds, let me know. If I do another run, I will need a block of four or five days free which I don't see happening until my nine year old makes it to the NHL !

What team are you hoping to have him drafted by?

And will Track48 folks get free passes? Season tickets are getting expensive and I could use some free tickets to San Jose Sharks games!

I can get you Sharks tickets Chris! But...

...they are the Humber Valley Sharks, Atom 'A' team (9 year olds). Is that close enough?

Chris, if you head this way, there is a military cemetery in North York with an M4A2 76mm HVSS, a Bofors gun, a 25-pounder and a 17-pounder you can photograph, and, if you head on north for about 60 miles there is the tank park at Base Borden with a Wirbelwind, Panther, Ram tank and the 49th Hetzer produced amongst others
