Okay......(deep breath).....I just bought the new Hobby Boss 1/35th LAV-150 with the 90mm. Mecar turret......THERE, I said it....stop hissing...I hear you!!!
What I can't find is ANY info on it. Any refs I find are to the 90mm Cockrill armed version. Does ANYONE out in T48 land know WHO received them?? And ANY color info on them?? They were not, to my knowledge, EVER used by the US. Maybe Thailand...The Phillipines....South America?? Hints- but nothing definitive.....
I'm hoping for some help from our erstwhile membership!

I feel better now.....I'll go play with my Marder now.....see, I'm not a Heathen!!
And I'm also building the Kengi Staghound....a VERY nice kit!
TIA, Dave

If it was the 1/48 version, I may have been able to help, but otherwise I have absolutely no info on the 1/35 cousin. happy.gif

It's a deep fly ball...it's.....

Ohhhhh, it's caught. No home run.
Paul, That's the 90mm Cockrill turreted version(which they also are coming out with!!). So far, THAT is the only version I can find. It would be just like them(HB) to release a version that never saw production. The Mecar Turret barrel is straight, with just a ring collar at the end of it. The basic chassis is offered with multiple turret options. I'm hoping that someone, somewhere used the stupid version I bought......
And Ken, Thanks for the support....will call you around Midnight(wakey, wakey!!) to see what you've uncovered.....sad.gif
Still more continents to hear from!!
The kit # is 82421 in case anyone wants to see what it looks like!! It has an interior, too!!
But thanks for trying, everyone!!
I just KNOW that after dinner tonight answers will come pouring forth!!! More Elderberry, please....gonna be a long night......

Not much out there

November 6 2008, 5:00 PM

There's not a whole lot of info out there.

I asked the same question on Armorama and this is one of the links I got. I guess you could go with a Saudi Arabian version painted sand colour.

I just stayed with their M706 vietnam version.

Pretty much what I found.

Even the sand one is a Cockrill turreted one. The multi colored one is interesting, but that has the 20mm barrel and it's covered. Sure wish I could find out who bought what......
Thanks for your link!! Dave
