Someone posted these links on Hyperscale's board, but it looks like there were three rolls of National Archives-worthy 16 mm film in someone's attic.

The first link gives the backstory to the films and the second has over 16 minutes of footage. In addition to the historical importance of these films, there are some interesting modeling subjects in them IMHO.

Enjoy,
Isamu

Hi Isamu , thank you for posting those links for the WWII footage. It was very nice to see that Kettenkraft buzzing dowing the road , the US truck with the damaged aircraft has great potential for a small diorama. About 9m30s into the film there is a couple of guys face onto the camera.. G.I's.. you could almost swear the guy on the left was Val Kilmers daddy wink.gif

The footage of the aerial stuff was scary.. all those rounds impacting. It brings it home too when you see the effect of the .5's hitting ground targets and the way they tear up the earth!

Thanks once again Isamu happy.gif

best

Paul

Those were .50's? Jeez, I thought they were at least 20mm! All those .50's would really mess up exposed infantry! sad.gif
