Finished up everything but the crew on this project, and thought I would share some images, as its off to the paint shop in a moment, so this is the last chance to see it sans paint. The kit is Tamiya, of course, fitted with the Fighting 48th extended end connector track-set, matched to the Hauler Crocodile conversion and detailed up with the Hauler basic Sherman set and some home-made bits. The Hauler conversion is a very easy build, and the only complication was caused by my inability to leave well enough alone happy.gif The Crocodile trailer has been back-dated with early style tow bars and lifting rings to match the photos in Steve Zalogas Funnies pictograph, and will represent the original test model as upgraded for combat use by the 739th tank battalion. Hope you all like it,

Hauler and home made details on the M4 - hull still loose - sorry about that gap sad.gif

Customized tow bars on the trailer -

Oh, and please disregard the massive rubber traction bands on the track - they will be coming off shortly - I found out that they were only used in late 1943 wink.gif

Great model, great build. Must have been a horrific machine in the flesh. Calling them Crocodiles was an insult to the reptile version. Flamethrowers of any kind (including napalm) have always struck me as being beyond the pale. Goes for Willy Pete, as well.

Great looking build, Konrad! I love Sherman funnies - so much more interesting than regular Shermans. Everything looks great.

For a while, Crocodile...

Great build, Konrad! Well, I must say if there was a complication due to your ability to not leave well enough alone, by all means, get your fingers into more items! That is one super model.
