Lately some people asked for tow cables in 1/48th scale. At least for those guys interested in Tigers and Panthers there's an excellent option with the products from Polish EUREKA XXL. You can see some images here:

There stuff looks great and I've already placed an "test order" with Stefan vom EUREKA to see if it works. If the parts are as good as they look on the images I surely will place a bigger order next time.

Unfortunately no UK stockist as yet.
Maybe worth letting Parabellum or Lou Stener know about them.

suggested Stefan 1-2 possible stockists in UK/France as he is looking for shops interested in selling his products. Currently it might be a problems as he offers only 2 sets of 1/48th scale tow cables compared with higher numbers of products available from him in 1/35th scale for example. Anyways, I'm sure that ordering from him is troublefree. He told me, that he got my money and that the order has been shipped. I'm confident that the parcel will wait for me at home when I do return on Friday:-)

Just opened the small parcel I got from Stefan, the owner of EUREKA XXL, containing 2 sets of their 1/48th scale tow cables as well as great little gift (a free set of 1/48th scale tow cables for the Panther). Thanks, Stefan! Quality is top notch. The actual metal tow cables look excellent. Also you get not only the bigger tow cables to go on top of the Tiger I hull, but also the smaller diameter one for the left hull side. The resin castings of the cable ends ("eyes") is very, very well done. Fine details there, too. Aside from the cables you get 2 resin parts to replace the extension rods located between the tow cables on the hul top. All in all a great addition to improve your model as they do look a whole lot better than the one part plastic parts coming with the kit. The set itself is surely worth the money. It cost me 3,- EUR for each of the Tiger I sets plus 4,- EUR for shipping. Highly recommended. Would be happy to buy more of their stuff if they decide to offer other types of tow cables in 1/48th scale in the future.

I saw on their site that AirConnection, located just west of Toronto carries their products.

Yeah, Airconnections is a dealer for them, but they don't list these items. I have sent emails to both them and Eureka XXL, but nobody has gotten back to me.

Rats! Airconnection doesn't list the 1/48 scale tow cables yet.

I rechecked the AirConnection website and they were closed until January 15 (yesterday) I am imagining that they have a great deal of orders to fill and emails to read. I will be patient as they probably have them already!

I've sent Miguel Jimenez some tow cables from EUREKA XXL for his Panther model, too. I'm sure that he (like me) will be happy about them being available in 1/48th scale.
