The truck has already been released by Haegawa in two configs....one a cargo version, the other an aviation fuel carrier.

They are beauts.

Obviously the truck is selling very well...so we need some Japanese armor now.

Personally, I wish that Hauler or someone else could come out with a detail set for the TX40. I know that there isn't a lot of reference material out there, but there is at least one in existence in a museum in Japan. Unfortunately, it isn't anywhere near Tokyo so I can't get pics of it...

Jan Sobotka of Hauler.....

tried to get information on the TX-40 truck months ago when it first appeared. It is almost impossible to find any info on the net about it, and only if someone gets up to that museum are we ever likely to see any details. To a LIMITED extent, using a 1936-7 Chevrolet medium truck as the basis for basic chassis mechanical details would be a good start, but the cab is likely to be uniquely Japanese. The photos will probably show up in a collection of photos of captured or destroyed Japanese equipment in someone's national archives.
