MR Model

Greg , MR Models have a early Jagdpanther with the single sleeve barrel in the works. It was supposed to have been released by now - think there is a hold up on the production end.

oooo, thanks Paul. I'll wait for that one. I only found Armor scale has an early muzzle but 2 piece gun block.

RB Model from Ploand might come to help...

at least I've added this barrel to my list of suggestions. So there's a good chance that he will make it. Especially as he already has the muzzle brake and only needs to make the monobloc barrel.

While your at it...

Frank - could you mention the French CN 75-50 75 mm gun as a future candidate as a nice metal one would be a great addition for I.D.F M50 Shermans happy.gif

Please , please , please wink.gif

Gun barrels

March 3 2009, 11:27 AM

Hi Greg , just been looking at Panzer Tracts #9 Jagdpanzer.

According too this the designation for the gun in the Elephant was

8.8 cm Pak 43/2 L/71.

The Jagdpanther has the barrel designated as

8.8 cm Pak 43/3 L/71.

The 43/2 and 43/3 may have to do with some internal difference for fitting in the fighting compartment as the scale plans of both gun barrels are virtually identical to my eye
