Need some help and advice with a Dodge wheel

I have the Mig Kit of the Us Dodge Wc. The tyres look to be the same as the ones in the Fm kit of the Dodge Ambluance (same master builder?) Anyway the tyre looks way too wide and lack any real tread detail. Does anyone have a wheel I could borrow from either the headquarters Dodge WC52 or the Wespe Model kit (I have not seen photos of this so it may also be wrong).Does anyone have any other suggestions? My only other option is maybe cut a Tamiya 35th jeep wheel down to suit (I don't really want to do this, if their is an option alrady out their) Any big 27nd wheels I could use?

How about Peolini Designs

Their kit - Peolini Design 1/48 scale Kit PDM008 - Dodge WC54 Ambulance Type 2 - looks quite good. The guy has posted here a few times and seems to be a great fellow. Maybe you can buy some wheels only from him.

Yeah, where the heck is Hussar Models....

April 9 2009, 7:38 PM

when you need them? I have no idea what 1/72-1/48-1/35 tires could serve as patterns for the 1/48 Dodge 3/4 ton 9.00x16 tire. We also need a resin wheelset for the new Tamiya Opel Blitz, since the vinyl tires are completely wrong. Sigh....the whole point of vinyl tires is to reproduce tread patterns that hard styrene molded tires can't capture. So, the tread pattern on the Opel kit is terribly off and very simple; plastic wheels would have worked better.

WC-54 Wheels

Hi Luke,

I could see if I have some spare wheels left if you are interested.

(not my pic)
But here's what they should look like,

I personally think they're quite right, but that's me talking.

Nevertheless, just let me know. If I have some, we'll work it out.

Cheers,

PK Dodge wheels.....

April 10 2009, 5:32 PM

Yes, I have Marc's WC-54 ambulance and also the radio car, and his wheels are the best I've seen. Mind you, I wouldn't mind seeing Hussar Models get into 1/48 with their excellent resin wheel sets, but the PK wheels just might be the best of what is available now. HTH, BC
