I`m sure i have seen a set somewhere but i can`t remember where can anyone help.
Alternatively can anyone suggest a simple but effective DIY method of making them. I have a few idea`s but i would like to see if anyone can come up with a better method.
It`s mainly for use with straps on equipment, around bedrolls ect.

Strap Material

Hi Dave,

I have several good experiences with two matrerials.

1. The "lead" foil from wine bottles.
This can easily be cut into thin strips and wil provide a scale thickness to your straps.
And can easily be glued with CA/Crazy/Super glue.

2. Strips of Tamiya Tape.
Good thing is that this is self adhesive, however it does not glue with CA very well.
For scale thickness you can use two layers.

For buckles, I have no source as of yet, but there IS somebody here that can and will tell us.

Hauler's PE set for the M10 exterior has several long straps with buckle detail. Exactly for strapping on large packs, rolls, etc.

It was just the actual buckles i needed advice on. Making straps is not a problem, it`s just getting a decent looking buckle on them thats hacking me off. I have been using fuse wire bent into a box shape but am not 100% happy with the results.
