I think I may have some serious mental problems? Here is what has been up on the bench lately...........




I have wanted to build one of these for years but just couldn't figure out how to do the barrel so I gave up. Then a few weeks ago I made the mistake of visiting a buddy of mine who has a small machine shop. He was turning something down on a small metal lathe and VIOLA it hit me, turned aluminum! Well it turns out (no pun was intended there) the barrel will be the easiest part of this build.






and the Karl is under way as well....... Heaven help me

well, I'm glad I'm the other side of the Atlantic, and therefore out of range! Any of Steve's competitors in the US and Canada, don't mess with him, or else!

Is this a one-off, or a pattern for a product? I reckon you could shift enough to warrent making the moulds...

these are definately one off's for myself. I don't want to even think of trying to produce these. Just casting the parts for my needs, ie Leupold railroad trucks, wheels, KARL tracks, roadwheels, suspension parts etc is a hassle.

Steve , Tally Ho with that fine piece of scratch building please. It looks great , cannot wait to see it finished - same with the Karl
