Assuming I would like to convert the Gasoline 6 lb AT gun to the American 57 mm version, which commercially available wheels/tires should I use - jeep wheels?..trailer wheels?..deuce 1/2 wheels? The rest of the changes are pretty basic, but the choice of wheels has me stumped! happy.gif

Gasoline kit #50191K is listed as a US 57mm. gun. I had posted about the changes needed to make it a Brit 6lbr.-wheels, muzzle brake, etc.
Sooooo, if there IS a Brit 6lbr. kit out there in their listing...I sure would like to see the number....!! Otherwise, I'll need Bruce's Elderberry tonight...Olivier?? Can you help us out here?? Anyone??

Oooops, my bad! I think I may have had too much elderberry wine! This is a project in 1/35 I was thinking of. O/T but does anyone know what wheels to use on the Tamiya 1/35 6 lb'er -} US 57 mm gun? I also wanted to retrovert the Gasoline 57mm to the Brit Para version, but also don't know what wheels to use for that one.

9.00x16 wheels and tires used by the 3/4 ton Dodge weapons carrier family. The GasoLine kit I've seen illustrated is the US gun with the Dodge wheels and tires. I do think the combat rim areas are too pronounced, but that's not correctable if the wheels are molded in one piece, as I suspect they are. The rest of the GasoLine kit looks superb and I will be getting at least two of these guns. I can fix the wheels and the tire details are superb, so right now this is the one set I need to get.
