Does anyone here have experience painting large animals? How do you go about painting a horse realistically. I'd like to get away from vehicles and concentrate more on interesting diorama pieces.

This really looks like a great set. There were more horses than tanks in the army so I guess some horse painting lessons would be nifty. Do we know where to obtain this yet?

Marlowe, I have dabbled in the game of Warhammer and they have books on painting figs AND horses. Especially horses because most armies use them. I will try to find the books and do a quick scan for posting later if you don't have access to them. They really do look good painted!
