I went to the opthalmologist and got a prescription for close-up lenses for modeling. They are intended for very close detailed prototyping work, suitable for very fine details, figures, etc. The interesting thing is how he got me close-up glasses for general model assembly work: he told me to buy a pair of cheap 3.5+ diopter reading glasses and knock out the right lens. Voila - two eyes that focus at exactly the same distance. Who knew it could be so cheap? I will be busy with a bunch of modeling projects this summer. I just booked the IPMS-USA National Convention, air travel, and hotel, so I AM going to Columbus. Hope to see a bunch of the Track48 crowd there, maybe even the webmaster.
