Oliver Missing tank illustrations...

July 10 2009, 7:00 PM

Hi All;

For those who may not be aware of it, many of Oliver Missing's illustrations appear throughout a new book (2009) by AMBER BOOKS Ltd. of the UK.

Series title: THE ESSENTIAL VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION GUIDE:-
SOVIET TANK UNITS 1939 - 45" by David Porter

Hard Cover 190 pages, full colour illustrations.

This is a very comprehensive book using Oliver's artwork of Russian armour in the Spanish Civil War 1936-39; Finland Winter War; Barbarossa to Moscow; Kharkov to Kursk; Operation Bagration; Seelow Heights and Berlin. All the main battles.

The illustrations cover the Lend-Lease vehicles used as well, and a good dose of soft-skins.
At the final postion of the book they give solid coverage to all the Towing Tractors & Vehicle, along with superb coverage of the various "Katyusha" Rocket Launchers.

Well worth the price.

GB
