Okay guys,

these are just too good to pass up. Have you looked at the models there lately?

Maciej Gruza - Your Firefly rocks and the pictures are great.

Garfield - Your Tiger is soooo cool. The pose with the figure and the angles of the pictures. Boy I sure would like to see more of your work.

Pat Johnston - Your Marder, I almost didn't recognize as it isn't plastered on the front of some magazine cover. Might as well cover your Sherman too. Its okay, but I think you can do better. (just kidding - I know that you know that I know you rock).

Allan Simpson - What a beautiful model you have built there. Have not see one of those Matildas built up recently. Nice job. BTW the Sd.Kfz.222 you built awhile ago - I'm jealous. Tilly's aren't my cup of tea - but looks cool.

Alan Roffey - very nice layout on the dio. I can definitely tell your style a mile away. Great pictures too.

And last but not least (I know there was another thread about this one already, but I calling him out anyway)

Eric Deluy - that is an awesome scene with the M10 and the pontoon bridge. Very nice job. I wish I had it.

Thats where I stop. You guys have really put some good work out there. Thanks.

There are also other great works further down the What's New page but I can't comment on all of them.

I have been too busy to post on these recently so I am killing multiple birds with a few electrons.

Phil

Yes, there have been a bunch of great models.....

August 28 2009, 11:28 PM

posted over the recent months, and all of them have lessons for us in construction, painting, weathering, etc. Though we are a bit smaller than 1/35, we can compete in terms of useful detail and authenticity.

Thanks Phillip! And...there's more...

...waiting in the wings for posting so stay tuned. To everyone out there in Track 48 land, please continue to send in your finished models and put the in-progress work up on Andrew's Assembly Line. Personally, I am continually going into Track 48, Missing Linx, Hyperscale, Modelling Madness, etc., looking for insight from a build or review. I dare say that 99.9% of views of the above don't get acknowledged by the viewer but they are highly influenced and inspired.
Keep on keeping on!
Garfield

Hello Phil and thanks for the acknowledgement. I read your note with great interest and completely forgot that I had just recently submitted the GMC (!) Ha! Must be getting old and forgetful at the same time. Well; if I can figure out this email and attachment thing; there's going to be more stuff. Stay tuned. BTW; isn't that just the most incredible build and paint finish on the Hybrid 1C Firefly? I'm so inspired I think I may just chop up a couple of shermies and try to do something similar. Congrat's to Mr Gruza for his masterpiece. And I second and "Toast" all of the entires to our site. Keep em coming guys. Chris Schwach

You guys are great !!!! And thanks also to Phillip for posting this thread - somtimes some great work just seems to pass by unnoticed.

Thanks very much Phil. It`s much appreciated. All the stuff posted here is great, and every now and then you come across a gem like Eric`s M10 on pontoon. I`ve loads more dioramas planned that will come this way, so I hope you don`t get bored with them.
