that will be welcome but i suspect that jan from haluer might not be so thrilled as it will slow sales of his conversion kit. Also i noted on my 251 there is a tab that tey instruct you to remove on the lower left hand intrior to wards the rear ,its where the radio is relocated to in thr 251/9 stummel so it looks like we might see one of those as well all of this is good news yahhoo thanks wayne
Hello Wim, you could be right, I had not looked at the USA site yet when I posted this, I only had a cryptic Babelfish translation from the Japanese site.
for a complete interior, including stuff you really should add, you'll need the Hauler interior PE set. The Wiz's people left off a number of interior details, the most serious being the interior glass blocks and frames for the side vision ports (but then they left those off externally as well). Other than that, it is an accurate model in shape and scale. It will need the trailer connections in the rear. Use the AFV Club ausf C for the details if you wish to add them. I do hope Tamiya does the '251/9 Stummel; I was in the one at Fort Knox back in 1973. Interesting that they apparently have prepared for a radio in the rear.
I had a thought (be afraid, be very afraid) that even if Tamiya does NOT do the '251/9 Stummel with the short 7.5cm howitzer, if Italeri does the SdKfz 234 a/car series, and includes the '234/3, you could take the gun and mount from that kit and use it for a Stummel on the Tamiya (or perhaps later the AFV Club) '251 D. Don't know what you're going to do with the stripped '234/3 though..... Alternatively, IF Tamiya does the Stummel, and Italeri releases only the '234/2 Puma, you could take the gun and mount from the Tamiya Stummel and convert the Puma to the '234/3 SP howitzer.

Is that AC/DC?
Re the 251 Stummel. Gasoline make a conversion for the early /9 for the AFV Club kit ( I have and its a nice conv). It needs a little modification to fit the Tamiya kit as the floor on the Tamiya kit is a little wider.
I hope Tamiya do the Late version /9 with the gun mounted on the driver roof, but i think it will be the early version same as they did in 1/35.
Bruce for the stripped down 234. there is a photo in Pazerwrecks no 4 there are photos of a 234 with the 2cm Fk 38 in the Schwebelafette mount AND a 234 with a Pz II Luchs turret !!! link below
I fear you are right about the version of the '251/9....

Tamiya might do. The SdKfz 251/1 ausf D kit has a separate piece for the drivers' front plate and roof. And of course they'll do the early one because it was not as common as the later Stummel..... Wonder when AFV Club will get their announced ausf D out? (In my lifetime? I don't have as much time left as you whippersnappers....)
