My two youngest boys have learning disabilities. Nicky is 12, he had Downs syndrome and many health problems which means he has a short life expectancy, he one of the less able Downs children, still in diapers and unable to talk but he is the joy of my life! Stephen is 11 and has moderate learning difficulties and behaviour problems but there is no specific name for his condition, he is healthy. Stephen `mothers' Nicky who doesn't mind him doing so, he likes to help when I am giving Nicky his gastrostomy feeds. Out life is relativly easy and peaceful except for when Stephen loses control then all hell breaks loose until he calms down. I am a single parent but do have grown up children, some of who live nearby.
