9.1 There are no synapses in the SMNS pathway. There is one synapse in the ANS pathway.

9.2 In the sympathetic division, the autonomic ganglia are close to the spinal cord.

9.3 The Ganglion is closer to the spinal cord.

9.4 This reflex activates the parasympathetic nerves.

9.5 This is a visceral and mechanoreceptor.

9.6 The doctor should ask the patient if he felt the prick of the pin.

9.7 This is a nociceptor. The projection from the cerebral cortex tells us that the pain is in the foot. The modality told us that pain was being felt.

9.8 Free nerve endings are thermoreceptors. the other cutaneous receptors are mechanoreceptors.

9.9 Sniffing pulls the air up to the superior part of the nasal cavity where the receptors are.

9.10 Due to the head cold, the nose will be stuffed up, not allowing a distinct sense of small. This will dull our sense of taste.
